These super healthy, low calorie, low fat Shakes and Smoothies make PERFECT travel snacks! Great to bring to work, take in the car, on picnics, outings, anywhere. These drinks will fill you up and can save you from buzzing through the drive thru, munching doughnuts at work, or heading to the vending machine. Just blend them up at home, stash them in a little cooler and bring them with you to have a healthy, high energy day!

Fantastic as part of your Weight Loss Plan or just to feel amazing in general. I try to have a Green Smoothie for breakfast everyday, this Protein Shake as a late lunch, and a tall glass of Veggie Juice as an afternoon snack.

Raw Vegan Vanilla Protein Shake by Traci

Yay!! As a raw vegan and exercise enthusiast, I'm always looking for quick & easy low sugar, low fat, high energy snacks that will fill me up for a long time. This is my new FAVORITE protein drink! The star ingredient is Pea Protein, which I totally love. This is an amazing Raw Vegan Protein Shake. Want it creamier? Use vanilla hempseed, almond or nut milk (fresh is best, but the store bought kind is yummy & easy)

Vegan Vanilla Protein Shake

2 - 3 cups Water OR Vanilla Hempseed, Almond Or Nut Milk

2 TB Pea Protein

1 TB Brown Rice Protein Powder

1 TB Hempseed Protein Powder

3 TB Chia Seed Gel (soak chia seeds in water until they form a gel)

1 TB Maca powder

Sprinkle of Cinnamon powder

1 tsp Vanilla Extract (only if you used water instead of vanilla nut milk)

little Agave or Honey (if you used water & want it sweeter)

Blend all ingredients together on high until smooth, drink & enjoy!

Green Smoothies by Traci

Green Smoothies are one of the very HEALTHIEST things you can incorporate into your diet! They are a fantastic way to get more greens & fiber every day. They're really easy to make and so filling! And who wants to eat this much raw kale? That's a lot of chewing! A perfect diet smoothie if you're trying to lose weight, since you'll be full for hours afterwards and get a lot of clean green energy! If you want a sweeter Smoothie, feel free to use your favorite (non-citrus) juice. Although fresh (non-pasteurized) fruit juice is best, it's better just to start making these smoothies for yourself. Or you may use coconut water, or just regular water, since the banana provides sweetness. I personally use about 1 heaping TB Spirulina and 1 TB Chlorella in my smoothies, but I have been drinking them for quite awhile!

Spinach Green Smoothie (fairly mild)

2-3 handfuls fresh washed organic spinach

1 banana

2 cups fruit Juice ( non citrus juice like apple, OR water OR coconut water)

1 tsp Spirulina (you can work up to adding more if you like)

1 tsp Chlorella (optional! Stronger taste than spirulina)

1 TB Bee Pollen granules (optional)

little Agave (if you used water & want it sweeter)

Blend all ingredients together on high until smooth, drink & enjoy!

Kale & Collards Green Smoothie (more intense)

2 handfulls fresh washed organic Kale (curly, lacinato, or your favorite kind)

1 handfulls fresh washed organic Kale

1 banana

2 cups fruit Juice ( non citrus juice like apple, OR water OR coconut water)

2 tsp Spirulina (you can work up to adding more if you like)

1 tsp Chlorella (optional! Stronger taste than spirulina)

1 TB Bee Pollen granules (optional)

little Agave (if you used water & want it sweeter)

Blend all ingredients together on high until smooth, drink & enjoy!

20 Simple Fruit and Veggie Juice Recipes (from www.living-foods.com)

Veggie juices are SO good for you! An excellent way to get your vitamins & minerals and lots of extra nutrition. You will need a vegetable juicer. My personal favorite is the Green Star, since it excels at juicing greens, but if you are new to juicing, you can find a cheaper juicer that will probably work well enough. These juices are best served fresh. If you have to store them for a few days in the fridge, try adding lemon juice as a preservative and putting them in an air tight container. Have fun and get creative!
