Purple Prickly Pear Smoothie

  1. 4-6 Small to Medium Red or Purple Prickly Pears (make sure there are no thorns!)
  2. 12 - 16 oz your favorite Juice or Coconut Water
  1. Cut the ends off the Prickly Pears
  2. Blend with liquid
  3. Add ice if you desire
  4. Strain out seeds
  5. Serve and enjoy!
  1. Prickly Pears make a thick, gel like (almost slimy) texture in a smoothie. Feel free to add a handful of berries if you like, or add more liquid if it's too thick.
