Turmeric can be very bitter, so just use a small piece and be sure to balance it with the dates or other natural sweetener 🙂

Ingredients
  1. 1 small 1 inch piece of Fresh Turmeric Root, shaved
  2. 1-2 TB Spicy Brown Mustard (or yellow, or about 1/2 TB of Mustard powder)
  3. 3 Cloves Fresh Garlic
  4. 4 soft Medjool Dates, pitted
  5. 2 small handfuls Fresh Italian Parsley (mostly tops not stems)
  6. 1 Yellow Bell Pepper (without seeds)
  7. 1 Orange Bell Pepper (without seeds)
  8. 4-5 TB Olive Oil
  9. 5-6 TB Apple Cider Vinegar
  10. Juice from 2 Oranges
  11. Sea Salt
  12. extra sweetener if necessary
Instructions
  1. De-stem & cut up Bell Peppers, scraping off seeds
  2. Scrape off peel on Turmeric root
  3. Blend all ingredients together in blender or food processor until smooth
  4. Taste and adjust for salt & sweetness

Rich and creamy Raw Vegan Garlic Tahini Dressing with Fresh Herbs!

You can add some extra zing with a splash of Apple Cider or Rice Vinegar if you like.

This dressing is wonderful massaged into a Kale Salad and let marinate for 20 minutes or so.

Ingredients
  1. 1/3 Cup dry Chia Seeds, soaked 20 min to make thick gel
  2. 3-4 TB Tahini
  3. 3 Cloves Fresh Garlic
  4. 4 soft Medjool Dates, pitted
  5. Juice of 1 small Lemon
  6. Juice of 1 Orange
  7. 1 handful Fresh Italian Parsley
  8. Sea Salt
Instructions
  1. Add all ingredients to blender or food processor and blend until smooth
  2. Taste and adjust for salt & sweetness if necessary
  3. Store in fridge

  1. 2 Red Bell Peppers, de-stemed without seeds
  2. 1 Cup or more of an even mix of raw Brazil Nuts & raw Walnuts, soaked 20 - 30 minutes
  3. Small Handful Fresh Basil
  4. Handful Fresh Italian Parsley
  5. Handful Fresh Italian Parsley
  6. 2-3 Cloves Fresh Garlic
  7. Sea Salt
  8. 4 soft Medjool Dates, pitted
  9. Juice of 1 Lime
  10. Juice of 3-4 Oranges
Instructions
  1. Blend all ingredients in blender or food processor until smooth

Passionfruit Party Salad Dressing

Passionfruit Party Salad Dressing

This is my new favorite dressing!

If you can’t get fresh Passionfruit, there’s a few brands, like Goya, that make a good frozen seedless puree which will work.

You can often find this product in the frozen section of Latino markets, along with other fabulous exotic tropical frozen fruit!

I LOVE this dressing on a salad of Romaine lettuce & Butter leaf lettuce with some fresh cut up Guava & Starfruit when it’s in season.

I don’t like it with bitter greens like Arugula or even Kale! It’s just too tart. It needs sweet, mild & tender Greens!

Sweet, tart & tangy tropical salad dressing or dipping sauce

Ingredients
  1. 6 Frozen Passionfruit ice cubes (or equivalent fresh or frozen)
  2. 3 - 4 large soft Medjool dates, pitted (or 1-2 TB honey)
  3. Juice from 2 Oranges
  4. 1/2 inch fresh Ginger, peeled
  5. Generous Splash of Rice Vinegar (optional)
  6. Dash of Sea Salt
Instructions
  1. Add all ingredients to blender
  2. Wait for passionfruit to semi thaw before blending
  3. Blend until smooth
  4. Keep in fridge
Notes
  1. Feel free to add more orange juice if you want a thinner dressing
  2. Adjust salt & sweetener to taste
  3. If using fresh Passionfruit you may want to strain out the seeds
  4. I like this dressing tart but not too tart 🙂

What’s the SECRET ingredient in this yummy creamy dressing? Long Yellow Summer Squash! But don’t tell anyone 🙂

Squash is wonderful way to add thickness to dips, sauces and spreads.

You’ll add fiber and nutrition and cut down on fat. But not flavor!

Did you know that Summer Squash isn’t really even a Vegetable??

It’s actually a hard walled Berry, like a cucumber or watermelon, and otherwise known as “Pepos”

This dressing also makes FABULOUS Kale Chips!

Ingredients
  1. 2 Med-Large long Yellow Summer Squash
  2. 3/4 C Tahini
  3. 2 TB Nutritional Yeast
  4. 2-3 Cloves Garlic, peeled
  5. Juice from 1 juicy Lemon
  6. 3 soft pitted Medjool Dates OR 2 TB raw Honey
  7. Small Handful fresh Cilantro leaves
  8. Sea Salt
Instructions
  1. Trim the ends off the squash and cut into pieces
  2. Put into the food processor along with the other ingredients.
  3. Blend all ingredients until smooth.
  4. Store in Fridge, will last a few days.
Notes
  1. Taste to make sure the flavors are balanced.
  2. You can always add more salt, honey or lemon juice
  3. Feel free to add more Tahini if you want it thicker and creamier

  1. 2 Cups raw soaked Sunflower seeds (soak 30 min)
  2. small handful fresh Basil
  3. small handful fresh Cilantro
  4. small handful fresh Italian Parsley
  5. 3 soft pitted medjool Dates
  6. Juice from 3-4 Limes, squeezed
  7. 1-2 cloves raw Garlic (optional)
  8. Splash water (if too thick)
  9. Sea salt
Instructions
  1. Combine all ingredients in blender until smooth, adjusting to taste

  1. Also makes a great dip!
